Apple dropped the jaws of people around the world again today with another amazing product line.
I’m most excited about the new iPod touches with facetime… It’s going to be awesome to facetime with people without an iPhone!
iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2
Steve Jobs revealed that iOS 4.1 will be available for the iPhone and iPod next week, and iOS 4.2 for iPad will be available in November. This is great news for iPad owners such as myself. Finally the iPad will catch with all the awesome multitasking/folders features that the iPhone iOS4 has.
iOS 4.1 brings Gamecenter (Apples version of XBOX Live) as well as HDR Photography. You’ll also now be able to upload HD video to YouTube over WiFi.
iPod Shuffle
The iPod Shuffle now has buttons again. It is the same size as the last gen shuffle, but now with the familiar buttons. The price is also amazing. A 2GB shuffle will run you $59!
iPod Nano
The iPod Nano looks awesome!! It runs a mini version of iOS with a touch screen and does almost everything an iPod Touch does! Think of it as a mini version of an iPod touch.
It has voice controls as well as a built-in FM radio. It also sports the same clip on the back so you can still wear it wherever you go.
The regular colours are available. 8GB $159. 16GB $189.
iPod Touch
The iPod Touch has now been updated to have everything an iPhone 4 has except the phone. It will have the same HD Retina Display as well as a front facing and back camera.
The camera can be used to do facetime calls over wifi. Facetime calls on an iPod Touch are triggered via email address.
8GB $249. 32GB $319. 64GB $429.
Apple TV
It doesn’t look like Apple was able to license the name iTV so they will stick to the Apple TV name. Apple TV got a big refresh today. It now has an all black matte finish and its 4 times smaller than the original Apple TV. It is comparable to a hockey puck. The new Apple TV will be 100% HD and have TV rentals for only $.99. It will have internal storage and can also play video/photos/audio over wifi. Apple also slashed the price making it only $119.
Blogbroad: Free WordPress Hosting
Aug 25th
Have you ever wanted to run your own WordPress site but don’t have enough money to do so? Well I found the solution for you. As most people know to run a WordPress site that you need to have a site hoster which allows the installation of WordPress. In-order to do so you will need to pay just to access most of the site hosters out there, this can get a little pricey if also you are paying for your own domain also.
For example if you registered a domain using Hover.com you cannot use WordPress with your Hover account due to the site does not support site hosting only domain registration. You need another way to host your site, one great service I found is Blogbroad which is a free WordPress hosting site. Yes I said free, not like other site hoster were you are required to pay a set amount of money in-order to use there service. Blogbroad is so easy to use even people who have no skills with editing or managing a website can use this service, it’s as easy as creating an account on there site and uploading all your WorPress files on your Blogbroad account.
After creating an account and uploading all the necessary WordPresss files to your account you are done, you will now basically not have to access your Blogbroad account anymore. To edit your site you can use this link http://www.sitename.blogbroad.com/wp-login.php and log in with the same username and password as your Blogbroad account, once logged into you can now access your WordPress site and files and edit it. But if you need to access your Blogbroad account you can still do so, on the site there are some features which you can use which correspond with your site.
These features include the ability to backup your site in-case something goes wrong with it, managing your WordPress plugins, managing your WordPress themes you can even using one of the themes included with your Blogbroad account, and even set up a custom domain for your site if you have bought and registered one if not then Bloagbroad supplie you with a free one which would be http://www.sitename.blogbroad.com. So if you ever want to set up and manage your own site such a WordPress site i recommended using Blogbroad since it is free and easy to use.
Twitter Releasing “You Both Follow” Feature
Aug 14th
Twitter recently released a new “Who to Follow” feature which recommends people to follow based on your interests and who your followers are following. Now they are releasing a feature they began testing in June called You Both Follow” Feature “You Both Follow” which shows you people yourself and another Twitter user mutually follow.
To see this feature, simply visit another user’s profile You Both Follow” Feature and see who you have in common on their sidebar. You also have the option to click “View all” and see a full list of mutual followers.
It seems like quite a pointless feature in my opinion but
at least nobody can complain that they don’t have it, right?
iPod Touch Rumors Are Soon To Be True
Aug 12th

As we all know there has been rumors spreading through out the internet a while back about Apple releasing a new iPod Touch which features a camera. We have all seen videos and pictures of one in Japan but weren’t sure if that was a real Apple prototype or just a modded iPod Touch fitted with a camera. It was to susceptible when video of the iPod Touch was posted online due to the “homebrew” looking iPod OS.
Recently more rumors about the new iPod Touch have made there ways onto the internet but this time they seem to be more true then fake. As you know Apple usually releases new major items during September of this year, as you know September is closing on us soon. With that the rumors seem to be rue that Apple is going to release a new model of the iPod Touch.
Enough with the rumor talk, the new fetuses this iPod is getting is the same features the new iPhone4 has with exceptions to making phone calls, text messaging, and that stupid attena problem. So what you will expect from the new iPod is front and rear facing cameras which seem to be the same as the one on the iPod Nano 5th gen., Facetime which will be added, and a high resolution Retina display same one found on the iPhone 4.
Cool thing is with all these new features Apple will not being jacking the prices of the iPod and will still being selling the new iPod Touches at the same price as the iPod Touch 3rd generations. With these rumors spreading around we are not sure to believe them or not. All we do is wait until Apple announces if the new iPod Touch is a no or a go.
VIDEO: iPhone 4 ‘Death Grip’ Exists in Canada
Aug 4th
Everyone has been making a big deal of the iPhone 4 Death Grip. The Death Grip is when you hold your iPhone 4 a certain way that causes severe antenna loss.
Unfortunately, the problem does exist in Canada as demonstrated in the video above. However… You will notice that even though the phone doe report signal loss with the grip, you could still make clear phone calls with it. Also, this was only happening in weak-signal environments such as a basement. In an average basement you would start off with 5 bars, and the phone would quickly demolish to 0 bars after 1 minute of the death grip.
In a stronger signaled environment, the bars only dropped to 3 with the death grip.
So if you haven’t taken advantage of Apple’s FREE case offer, you should right away. I ordered mine on July 30, 2010 and my case isn’t schedule to ship until September. Head to Apples Website for instructions on how to obtain your free case, it only took me a few seconds to order one.
For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, you must apply no later than August 22, 2010; otherwise, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase. To qualify for this program, you must purchase your iPhone 4 by September 30, 2010.
Official: iPhone 4 Release Date in Canada on July 30th
Jul 16th
This morning Steve Jobs took the stage at their Cupertino headquarters to address the world about the issues surrounding the iPhone 4. Near the end of the presentation, Steve Jobs confirmed that the second wave of iPhone 4 launches will take place on July 30th–which includes Canada!
iPhone 4 Coming to Canada on July 30th–Confirmed
As we confirmed this July 30th date (this reaffirms that wireless carriers and dealers are always the last to know release dates), Apple also confirmed the white iPhone 4 will be coming at the end of July as well.

The big question remains whether or not Canadians will receive the second batch of iPhone 4 units that will have a fix to this antenna issue. Also, will Canada get a chance to pre-order the iPhone 4?
But in the meantime, Apple will be giving out free Bumper cases to all new iPhone 4 owners. This is not a permanent fix and doesn’t do anything really to the early iPhone 4 adopters in the USA, but it’s a start.
More to come as this story develops…

Eric Jess livestream calls
Jul 13th
You might know who who Eric Jess is. Well he is a tech person who mainly makes Youtube videos related to tech but also has non-tech related on his Youtube page which is http://www.youtube.com/erichereatthetube. Not only does he make videos online he also runs a 24/7 livestream and chatroom on his website at http://www.ericjess.com/?page_id=10. There you chat to other people nd talk about technology and other things, even things not related to technology. So mainly what this post is about is sometimes Eric does live Skype calls on his stream and sometimes even records them and posts them on his Yutube page. Wellin the past few live calls I have called in and talked to Eric and even his sister Celsey talking about tech and non-tech related subjects. Below are some of the live calls Eric has recored of me calling in. So check them out and I hope you enjoy them!

Firefox 4 Beta 1 (available for download)
Jul 8th

If you haven’t noticed yet Mozilla has released a beta version of there newest version of Firefox to the public. Now you can go and download the new Firefox 4 demo at this link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/. For now not everything with the program has been finalized, Mozilla just wants the public to test it out and then send them feedback on things the public likes and dislikes. Then they will know what and what not to change or to add before releasing the full version.
After downloading and installing the Firefox 4 Beta you will see a major change which is the design. Now the top and bottom bars are much lighter and no longer the medium grey that the previous version used to have. Also the refresh, home, and are now buttons which glow when cursor is on top along with the back and forward page buttons. Now the URL bar and search bar are now rounded and no longer have square edges. Something new with Firefox 4 is being bale to pace the tabs above or below the URL bar, to do this right click on the grey boarder around the URL and select tabs on top for the tabs to be on top and deselect it for the tabs to be below. Another thing I found which is not that big that is new is when you open up the add-ons options it no longer opens in a pop-up window. Now it will open up in the browser in a new tab. Also some of your add-ons such as extensions and themes may not work or work properly with the new version of Firefox. You may have to wait until there are updates for your add-ons so they will work properly.
The main thing that Mozilla was looking for was feedback from the public. You may be wondering were to send feedback, well in the top right corner beside the search bar Mozilla has added a feedback button which when click brings down a drop down menu. There you can select the green smiley face which says Firefox made me happy because beside it to send positive feed back or select the red sad face which says Firefox made me sad because beside t to send negative feedback. You can also get to the feedback menu by click tools and going to feedback.
So overall I really like the new Firefox 4 Beta and recommend Firefox user who haven’t downloaded it to do so and for people who haven’t used Firefox before to try it out. Right now I think Firefox is the best browser out there due to being safe, fast, and very customizable also do to all the cool add-ons you can get.
